Progressive or Corrupt

A progressive agenda over time would lead to increased equity in the community. Montclair has experienced a reversal of progressive ideology as members of the community watch helplessly as residents are displaced and a formerly diverse community becomes increasingly gentrified.

A paradox of capitalism, as the community becomes increasingly liberal, laws that exist to protect equity, the guardrails of democracy, are ignored and public efforts encouraging compliance with laws are dismissed.

The result is thriving corruption within municipal government and the public schools.

Corruption is not sustainable, especially when both the extreme right and the extreme left run amok. The collapse of democracy is sad to watch. I hope these pages exposing the truth of how corruption undermines democracy in Montclair will encourage the public to embrace the truth and push back.
